Taking a few minitues to reconnect with the simple beauty of the natural world can be a refreshing change from the fast-paced technologically driven culture that dominates so many of our lives. Here is a meditation that inspires creativity, enhances intuition, and offers a renewed sense of balance.

Find a place among mountains or near a garden that gives you the opportunity to surround yourself in nature. If you live in a large city, explore a quiet park or take a trip to a nearby lake or forest. Even a backyard can offer pace for this exercise. The benefits can be realized during any season but wr loose clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Using this meditation in the evening can offer an entirely different experience and a soothing way to unwind after a busy day.



The pieces of this exercise focus on the natural environment by tuning the senses to the sights, smells, sounds, textures, and tastes of the earth. Attempt to use each sense for five minutes in the exploration of your surroundings. This isn’t a hard and fast rule-only a suggestion.
